With just a few days left until the t-shirt deadline, the St. Anthony Regional Hospital’s Mental Health Matters committee wants to remind everyone to register for the 3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk by this Friday. The 3.1-mile trek will be on Saturday, May 4, starting at 9:00 a.m., with registration at 8 a.m. Committee member Brandi Strautman says the run/walk will not be the only thing happening during this event.

Chaplin Angelo Luis came up with the idea of the event to raise awareness for mental health, and Strautman says it has only grown over the past three years.

There is a registration fee of $20, which Strautman says, combined with the proceeds from the silent auction, helps provide mental health treatment in the community.

Again, the St. Anthony Regional Hospital 3rd Annual Mental Health Matters 5K Run/Walk will be on Saturday, May 4, starting at 9 a.m. at the Carroll Middle School. Those wishing to receive a t-shirt must be registered by this Friday. Otherwise, registration will be accepted up until the day of the event. Everyone is invited to participate or cheer on their loved ones running or walking. Children under the age of 12 are free to take part in the 5K without registration. Strautman and Luis thank everyone on behalf of the St. Anthony Mental Health Matters Committee for their continued support and hope to make this event the biggest one yet.
