During tomorrow’s (Tuesday) meeting, The Sac City Council will discuss and review bids for the Highland Avenue Water Main Improvement project to accommodate Loring Hospital’s new addition. Loring Hospital kicked off the construction of the 42,000-square-foot expansion back in March. City Administrator Jamie Lawrence says the hospital would need a larger water main to accommodate the addition’s water needs and the upgraded water system.
Lawrence says this project should not affect many Sac City residents, as the lines will be installed while construction crews are still working on the hospital’s addition.
The Sac City Council approved the project specs during previous meetings, and Lawrence said bids were received last week. The council will discuss and potentially approve bids during tomorrow’s (Tuesday) meeting. A more concrete timeline for the project will be provided after the official bid is appointed.
