Use for post

A Carroll man sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a car/motorcycle accident yesterday (Monday) afternoon on Highway 30 in Carroll. According to the Carroll Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 4:18 p.m. at the Adams Street intersection. Forty-two-year-old Paul Lerssen of Carroll was traveling eastbound on the highway on a 2010 Harley Davidson FLTRX. As he approached the Adams Street intersection, a southbound 2023 Nissan Altima, operated by 47-year-old Crystal Parkis of Carroll, failed to yield from the posted stop sign and struck the Lerssen motorcycle. He was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of injuries to his lower extremities. An air ambulance was called to transport Lerssen, but it was canceled after first-responders determined his injuries were not severe enough to require air transport. Parkis was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
