The United Way of Carroll collected over 1,200 items and more than $1,500 in cash donations during its 2024 Baby Drive. On April 18 and 19, volunteers set up at the Carroll Walmart and Fareway to collect donations from shoppers needed by local families and their children, such as diapers, formula, clothes, and other baby-related items. Several local businesses and organizations, including New Way Ford, the Glidden Public Library, Crossroads Nutrition, Westside State Bank, and the Breda and Carroll Childcare Centers, also collected items prior to the in-person drive. The donated items and money were evenly distributed to four area non-profits: Carroll County Nest, New Creation Pregnancy Resource Center, Family Resource Center, and Carroll County Family Development Center. The United Way of Carroll thanks everybody for their support during this year’s drive.
