The City of Manilla has invested in the Homes For Iowa program to provide more affordable housing to interested buyers wishing to make Manilla their home. This is the city’s first time participating in the program, and Jeremy Croghan, a board member of the Manilla Economic Development Corporation, says there will be more than one development available soon.

Croghan says the city’s efforts to provide additional housing are about more than just increasing the number of houses. It’s about creating more opportunities for potential homebuyers. He explains that when a house gets put on the market, it is only for sale for a short time, indicating a high demand and a promising market for homebuyers.

Aside from the HFI program, Croghan says the city offers other incentives to those interested in building a house and becoming residents.
