The Lake City Council has approved an agreement with Redenius Enterprises LLC to construct a development for seniors looking to downsize to a single-level home. Jeffrey Redenius, owner and chiropractor at Redenius Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Fitness Center, is taking that step to solve an issue that many communities are struggling with.

Currently, one duplex is being constructed, with the plan to develop four buildings or eight units. Redenius says he already has interested tenants reach out for more details on the new housing, which will be rented out on the corner of East Jackson Street and South Woodlawn Ave.

The rental price, which includes utilities, internet, and television, is designed to streamline bill payments for tenants. Redenius is committed to providing more than just housing, with plans in the pipeline to assist other communities grappling with housing shortages.

The construction of these modern units commenced approximately a month ago. The foundation has been laid, and the plumbing work is set to kick off next week. Redenius is optimistic about the project’s timeline, aiming to start the framework for the duplex by June 1.
