Sign-up for the City of Templeton’s Summer Rec program will be this upcoming Monday, with various events scheduled for children 4 to 12 years old. Those interested in registering their child can do so at Templeton City Hall from 5:30 to 6:30. The activities cost $25 per child living within the city limits of Tempelton and $30 for those living out of town. Katie Kerkhoff and Cassidy Halbur will be this season’s recreation program instructors. Events include swimming lessons at the Manning Rec Center, fishing at Swan Lake State Park, Loess Hills Ag presentation, tie-dye craft, Carroll County Conservation presentations, touch a truck event, Arts In The Park, and finishing out with the summer Olympics. Each activity will have two groups participating based on age, which ranges depending on the event. The full schedule of the summer festivities is included below. Again, registration will be on Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Templeton City Hall.
