A Carroll woman faces a felony charge for allegedly stabbing a man multiple times yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at the Harbor Crest Apartments. According to a criminal complaint filed by the Carroll Police Department in Carroll County District Court, 31-year-old Jessica Lea Harrington was arrested on a charge of willful injury causing serious injury, a class C felony, following the incident. Law enforcement arrived at the scene in the 700 block of E. 18th Street at approximately 4:41 p.m., within a minute of the reported assault. Upon arrival, officers located the victim in the apartment parking lot with multiple stab wounds to his body. Authorities allege Harrington stabbed the 65-year-old male victim numerous times with a pocket knife, resulting in substantial blood loss. He was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services and later transferred to an Omaha medical center for further treatment. Harrington was booked into the Carroll County jail, where she remains in custody on a $10,000 bond as of Thursday morning. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Carroll Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
