Carroll Historical Society And Historic Preservation Commission Host Character Walk, Open Houses Sunday

It is a weekend for local history buffs as the Carroll County Historical Society begins its summer season schedule and the Carroll Historic Preservation Commission hosts its first character walk in Graham Park. On Sunday, June 2, Carroll’s past will come to life from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Commission President Vicki Gach says it is a fun way to learn about the people behind the community’s most-used recreational area.

Gach says they are also celebrating Graham Park’s addition to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Historical Society’s summer open house will take place alongside the Graham Park character walk. President Barbara Hackfort says all of the society’s sites will be open for the public to enjoy on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

These programs are free to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
