The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will host several presenters during their meeting on Monday. The board convenes at 9 a.m. in the Conservation Education Center at Swan Lake State Park. They begin with the Manning Main Street Board and a community update, followed by plat approvals and the continuation of a lease agreement with the State of Iowa for office space in the courthouse for the public defender. At 10 a.m., the supervisors will host a group of around 20 concerned citizens regarding the existing 28E agreement between the City of Carroll and Carroll County that grants control of zoning administration in the two miles surrounding Carroll city limits to the city council. Then, at 10:30 a.m., a representative from the Region V Hazmat team will highlight the services the group provides to Carroll County and its residents. Other items on Monday’s agenda include manure management annual updates and committee reports. The June 3 meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the video and full agenda are included with this story on our website.
