A Wall Lake man has been taken into custody after a search warrant discovered multiple firearms in his possession as a felon. Last Friday, the Sac County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake View Police Department received a complaint that 41-year-old Lawrence Allen Pepples of Wall Lake was in possession of firearms at his residence at 206 W 4th St. After conducting the search, authorities discovered several firearms, accessories, and a plethora of ammunition. Pepples was taken into custody but has been released after posting a $5,000 unsecured bond. He is ordered to appear in court on June 13. Possession of a Firearm by a Felon is a Class D Felony, carrying a maximum sentence of five years in prison and $7,500 in fines.
