The Carroll Public Library Has First Event Of Summer Reading Program Tuesday, Inviting Over 100 Insects To Visit

The Carroll Public Library staff is excited to kick off its summer reading program, with the first scheduled event tomorrow (Tuesday). The Iowa State University (ISU) Insect Zoo will be displayed from 2 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the library’s meeting room. The Insect Zoo contains over 100 species of insects, and ISU staff will present the importance of the bugs for a healthy earth, how individuals can help keep the insects safe, and much more. There will be many hands-on activities, including chances to handle millipedes, beetles, walking sticks, and more. Insect zoo staff will even identify different insects that participants can bring in or provide a photo of. Before the Carroll Library, the display will be at the Coon Rapids Library from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Again, the ISU Insect Zoo will be on display at the Carroll Public Library from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday), and everyone is welcome to attend.
