An accident on Highway 30 in Crawford County Tuesday night caused three individuals to be life-flighted and had one fatality. According to Iowa State Patrol, at approximately 9:51 p.m., a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, operated by 23-year-old Brent Robert Dale Stephan of Yukon, Oklahoma, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 30 near N Avenue when he lost control and collided with a westbound 2016 Chevy Suburban operated by 19-year-old Morgan Wade Andersen of Shelby. One occupant of the Grand Prix, 35-year-old Cory Robert Beer of Bayard, was pronounced dead at the scene and was reported to not be wearing his seatbelt. The remaining three passengers in the Grand Prix received serious injuries and were life-flighted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha: 23-year-old Heaven Marie Holloway of Lytton, 44-year-old Stacy Marie Holloway of Lytton and Stephan. Andersen received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Crawford County Memorial Hospital by Crawford County EMS.
