The Manning Rotary Club will present A Parade of Cars this Sunday, featuring models from the early 1900s to the present. The parade will begin with the National Anthem at 1:55 p.m., with the cars rolling out at 2:00 p.m. on Historic Main Street. The first car will be a 1914 Model T with a hand crank start, with classics, muscle cars, and more from every decade, ending with a street-legal late model Camaro with over 1000 horsepower. Skits will be performed between each class of cars, and a short history of each vehicle will be presented. During the event, a free-will offering will be collected to purchase a shade structure for the Manning Hillside Splash. Those wishing to register their car for the parade can sign up on Sunday at the old Casey’s gas station parking lot from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for every four classes and a “Best Of Show” chosen by the crowd.
