This Father’s Day weekend marks the 141st annual celebration of Manning’s Kinderfest, a day filled with fun for children of all ages to kick off summer with their families. Sydney Macumber, a member of the Promotion committee who helps organize the celebration, says planning takes around six months for the one-day event, but the team collaborates well, making everything seem easy.
Macumber says there is a full day of activities each year, with new fun and annual favorites on the schedule for this upcoming Kinderfest.
All the activities will be in City Park, with inflatables and face painting available for a $15 wristband. Macumber says that aside from the mini games, kids will have a chance to win bigger prizes donated by businesses and individuals.
Raffle tickets and wristbands can be purchased before this Saturday at First National Bank, Templeton Savings Bank, Manning Pharmacy, and Manning City Hall or on the day of the event at the Information Tent, which will be located west of the park restrooms. Main Street Manning and the Promotion Committee hope to see everyone out this weekend for the annual Kinderfest. The complete schedule of activities has been included below.
