Carroll County Conservation Hosting Conservation Station, While Adjusting Pella Concert Series Schedule

Picture from Carroll County Conservation Facebook page

The Carroll County Conservation is adjusting the schedule for the Pella Concert Series due to a scheduling conflict but has invited the Conservation Station from Iowa State Extension to offer another family fun activity this weekend. The “Marsh Madness” trailer, a unique opportunity to learn about the importance of Iowa’s wetland ecosystems, will be out at the Swan Lake Education Center from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. this Saturday. Dakota Popp, Naturalist for Carroll County Conservation, says the trailer and the conservation team will explore the sights, sounds, and science aspects of the state’s marshlands.

Popp says that besides the conservation trailer, more activities will be offered inside the Education Center.

The Carroll County Conservation team invites everyone of all ages to explore the trailer and participate in the free hands-on activities. Popp says those who were looking forward to the Pella Concert don’t worry, as big things are planned to accommodate the schedule change.

Again, this Saturday at the Swan Lake Education Center will be the “Marsh Madness” conservation station trailer from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The first Pella Concert will be on July 20 with Jake Schrodt. The Carroll County Conservation team looks forward to seeing everyone at Swan Lake State Park this summer.
