The Sac City Museum is sponsoring an archaeology presentation, to talk about the prehistory of Sac County. Mark Anderson, is an archaeologist at the Sanford Museum and has previously presented at Park View Nursing Home, which resulted in a large crowd attendance. The Sac City Museum wanted to give another opportunity to those who couldn’t make that, by offering an evening time event to accommodate working adults. Anderson will display Native American artifacts that have been found throughout the county, including arrowheads, pottery chips, and the location of early settler dugouts and mounds around the Sac County Court House. The presentation will be at 7:00 p.m. at the Sac Rec Center Conference room and is free for all to attend. The Sac City Museum also wants to remind tourist that it is open weekends now through Labor Day from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
