A Carroll Woman Pleaded Not Guilty On All Charges After May Stabbing Incident

A Carroll woman has pleaded not guilty on all charges during her arraignment hearing today (Monday) after being arrested for stabbing a man last month. According to district court records, 31-year-old Jessica Lea Harrington was taken into custody on May 22, accused of stabbing a 65-year-old male victim multiple times with a pocket knife outside of the Harbor Crest Apartments in the 700 block of E. 18th Street. Harrington faces charges on one count of attempted murder, a class B felony and willful injury causing serious injury, a Class C felony. Harrington remains in custody at the Carroll County jail, with her bond being raised from $10,000 to $100,000 cash only. A jury trial has been scheduled for Sept. 17 at 9:00 a.m. at the Carroll County Court House. If convicted, Harrington could receive the maximum prison sentence of up to 35 years in prison.
