Lynne Ann (Boes) Brincks, born on December 8, 1942, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 14, 2024.  Lynne was the second of nine children born to Leonard and Nina (Booth) Boes of Breda, Iowa. She was raised on their family farm and graduated from St. Bernard’s High School.  Lynne was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother Tom (Karen), and sisters Kathleen (Ted Underberg), Rhonda and Diane (Bill Rouff); the last two of which passed very recently.  They must now be enjoying their reunion in heaven.  She is survived by her brothers John (Carol), Kevin (Diane), Bryan (Delynn) and Keith (Kelly).  Lynne was also preceded in death by Larry’s siblings, Bert Brincks, Kate Broich, Elsie Eischeid, Clete Brincks, Helen Tiefenthaler, Bonnie Anthofer, Juilette Behrens and Ray Brincks.  She is survived by Larry’s siblings, Louise Clark, Marvin Brincks and Dennis Brincks.

Lynne was married to Lawrence Peter “Sparky” Brincks of Willey, Iowa for over sixty years.  Together, they built a feed and fertilizer business in Auburn, IA and ran a farm and feeder cattle operation south of Carroll, IA.  They raised four loving sons in their family home in Carroll: Lon, wife Sherri (Lahr) of Overland Park, KS; Michael, wife Anne (Comisky) of Kansas City, MO; Rick, wife Jodi (Nieland) of Carroll, IA, and Kirk of Minneapolis, MN.

Lynne was a woman of incredible work ethic, balancing the management of a growing family farm while raising her four boys (or five, if you count Sparky).  She was well-loved in her community as a dedicated assistant manager of the Casey’s General Store in Carroll, a nurturing mentor at EVIT beauty school in Chandler, AZ, and a faithful member of her church.  Lynne’s warm smiles, genuine laughter and inclusive nature were some of her greatest gifts to those around her.  Though she was also a voracious reader and lifelong learner, Lynne found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, their families, and many friends.

Lynne and Larry retired to Chandler, AZ in 1991 and thoroughly enjoyed their time in the sun.  It was there that an entirely new community got to know and love the couple.  They also enjoyed a second residence in Lake View, Iowa for several years – but ultimately returned to Carroll, which they always considered home.

Lynne was an unconditionally loving and patient mother to her sons, celebrating all of their scholastic accomplishments and cheering on their many athletic endeavors.  She also endured a few shenanigans from her boys and their friends.  Some would call her a saint.  Lynne was a wonderful mother-in-law to her sons’ wives, and fun-loving grandmother and great grandmother to her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memories of Lynne have been pouring in from siblings, nieces and nephews, friends of her sons, and the community.  All lucky enough to know Lynne remember her for her infectious laughter, kindness and loving nature.  Lynne will be greatly missed but forever held closely in all of our hearts.
