Iowa Fuel Report: June 19, 2024

Gas prices in the state rose modestly in this week’s report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and AAA-Iowa. As of Wednesday, June 19, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was up three cents from last week’s price to $3.18, 12 cents below prices from a year ago. The national average was unchanged from $3.45 per gallon. In retail diesel, Iowa prices were up three cents on the week to $3.52 per gallon, compared to $3.61 per gallon last year. The national average remains well above Iowa’s prices at $3.80 per gallon. Wholesale ethanol held steady at $2.16. As for heating fuels, natural gas prices at the Henry Hub reporting site were up 13 cents to $2.88 per MMBtu.
