Grab your lawn chairs and coolers and head downtown tomorrow (Thursday) evening for the Carroll Chamber of Commerce’s second Live + Local concert of the summer. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Kris Karr Band will be playing live music on the stage at Depot Park, near Commercial Savings Bank. Attendees are invited to bring their own beverages to Live + Local, but Chamber staff emphasizes that the concert is cans only. Glass containers and hard liquors are prohibited. The Carroll Young Professionals (CYP) are hosting mini-golf alongside Live + Local on Thursday night. While the concert is free, rounds of mini-golf are $5 per golfer. Food trucks from Forky’s, Cuban Corner, and Zamboni Ice will also be on hand. Thursday’s Live + Local is sponsored by First American Home Warranty. Availa Bank, Carroll Dental Clinic, BP Country Stores, Des Moines Area Community College, Next Generation Chiropractic, Pella, RE/Max Lenz Insurance, and St. Anthony Regional Hospital are sponsoring CYP’s event.
