The Lake View City Council has approved Black Hawk Men’s Club to purchase and install new LED lights at the city’s Town Bay Shelter House. The group selected this project to provide lighting at the open shelter down by the dock, where most of the town’s Water Carnival Celebration is held. City Administrator Theresa Pudenz says there are currently no lights on the shelter house, so with the men’s club purchasing and installing at least six lights, visitors can enjoy more evening and night activities safely.

The organization holds annual fundraising events, which Pudenz says get put right back into the community.

The Black Hawk Men’s Club planted 26 new trees around the city’s campground, replacing the removed ash trees. That project was the club’s largest in recent years, totaling just over $7,000. City officials and residents continue to appreciate all the work that the Black Hawk Men’s Club has done and will continue to do to assist in improving the community.
