Around two dozen individuals gathered with city officials and the Origin Homes team Friday to celebrate the start of a new housing opportunity for the City of Manning. The Stadium View Drive pocket neighborhood is the largest housing subdivision in the city’s history that will hold 20 new custom-built homes from the West Des Moines company. City Administrator Dawn Meyer says the partnership between Manning and Origin Homes started a few years ago, when most other towns were shutting down from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Origin Homes is starting off with the development of five houses, with one custom build currently in the works. Matt Daniels, Director of Operations for Origin Homes says the team is really excited to be offering this opportunity for the City of Manning.

Origin Homes is building homes all around Carroll County, with two custom builds going up in Glidden, one in Arcadia, the subdivision in Manning and a house in Carroll. An in-person chance to view the custom build house located at 24144 215th St. in Carroll will be on Wednesday July 17 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.   Anyone interested in learning more about the process of building with Origin Homes can contact them through their website, the link is provided below.
