Carroll County Supervisors Begin New Fiscal Year At Monday’s Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors is set to begin Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 during their meeting on Monday. The board convenes at 9 a.m. in the supervisors’ meeting room on the courthouse’s lower level. They will begin by welcoming Mark Beardmore, who was selected by the Carroll County auditor, treasurer, and recorder, to fill the District 5 vacancy through the Nov. 5 general election and update him on the latest businesses specific to that seat. As it is the first fiscal year meeting, the board will have several routine resolutions, including the annual appropriations resolution and the FY25 salaries resolutions, to approve. Other items of note include a report from County Engineer Zac Andersen from secondary roads on drain repairs and equipment quotes, a maintenance agreement with Drees Co., payment of delinquent Maple River sewer system expenses, and furniture quotes for the courthouse. The board will close by setting a public hearing for a proposed Halbur real estate gift, manure management annual updates, and committee reports. Again, the Monday, July 1 meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the Carroll County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel.
