Coon Rapids’s Fourth Of July Celebration Kicks Off Wednesday Evening At City Park

The City of Coon Rapids is all ready for a complete two-day celebration for Independence Day, with a barbeque, live music, and fun for everyone. Starting tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5:00 p.m., down at the Coon Rapids City Park will be a free-will donation barbeque with proceeds benefiting the fire and EMS departments. The two organizations also sponsor the beer garden to coincide with the food. Live music by local talent, STUDIO 728, will kick off at 5:30 p.m., followed by 2 ½ GUITARS from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, playing various music genres. Thursday, the Fourth of July celebration will begin with a Patriotic Parade starting at 10 a.m. Before the parade, anyone can register a car, truck, golf cart, UTV, etc., on Main Street. This year’s route will be traveling up and down most of the streets within the city. The holiday will end with fireworks at dusk or around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Aquatic Center Park. The City of Coon Rapids invites everyone to come out to celebrate the Independence Day holiday with their annual celebration, starting tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5:00 p.m. With the rain and thunderstorms scheduled in the forecast, be sure to follow Coon Rapids, Iowa on Facebook for updates on schedule changes or cancelations.
