Wesco Industries In Denison Hosting Annual Duck Float Fundraiser Again, Supporting Crawford County Nature Center

A Denison favorite fundraising event, Wesco Industries’ Annual Duck Float Fundraiser, is returning this year, and there is still time to adopt a duck. This year, Wesco has donated half of the duck race’s proceeds to the Nature Center/Friends of Yellow Smoke Park in Crawford County to continue supporting individuals’ education on conservation efforts and respecting and caring for the environment. The other 50% will go to the duck race’s first, second, and third-place winners. The race will take place on Sat. July 20 at 1:00 p.m., down the Boyer River and ending at the Crawford County Fairgrounds. Those interested in participating can purchase duck(s) to adopt at WESCO Industries’ main building at 415 S. 11th St. in Denison or by contacting Katie Schurke at 712-263-6141 or emailing at kschurke@wescoind.org. The rubber ducks can be purchased as a single for $10, a quack pack of 6 for $50, or a flock of 12 for $100.
