The 5K Fun Run/Walk starts at 8 a.m., with registration opening at 7:30 a.m. near the Good Shepherd Parish on 2nd Street. Fasbender says there is a bit of a lull in the afternoon for people to catch their breath before the party starts at 5 p.m.

He adds the Independence Day celebration also marks the beginning of calendar sales for the 2025 Breda Legion Gun Raffle. The big draw is always the fireworks display, which is bookended by live music from After Shock.
