The City of Arcadia will soon be opening a new amenity for community residents, who will no longer have to drive to another town for a workout. Tip Top Fitness is the city’s newest gym located in the old city hall building, named after Arcadia’s original name, “Tip Top,” for its location on the Missouri-Mississippi Divide, topographically being the most elevated town in Iowa. City Clerk Julie Schroeder says the city owns and operates the new gym, but the idea came from listening to Arcadia residents.

The doors officially open on July 15, with memberships available for purchase starting today (Monday).

Schroeder says a link to sign up for a membership will be provided shortly on the City of Arcadia’s Facebook page. Otherwise, interested individuals can stop at City Hall and fill out a paper form. Schroeder and other city officials are excited to have made this project a reality and are looking forward to Tip Top Fitness’s opening day on July 15.
