Gov. Kim Reynolds announced yesterday (Tuesday) the appointment of a Missouri Valley attorney, Ashley West-Joons, to the bench in Judicial District 4. West-Joons is currently an attorney at the West Law Office and serves as the county attorney for Harrison County. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and her law degree from Creighton University. West-Joons will fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Justin Wyatt, who was appointed as a judge earlier this year. Judicial District 4 covers nine southwest Iowa counties, including Audubon and Shelby Counties.
