With summer getting close to an end, school supplies have been hitting the shelves back at stores, and the Carroll Outreach Center from New Opportunities wants to help make sure parents can get all the supplies their students need, even if on a tight budget. Carroll County parents of Kindergarten through Eighth-grade students who participate in Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP), Woman Infant and Children (WIC), or have a child enrolled in Head Start can sign up for free school supplies through New Opportunities. Each student must have a form filled out for them and have it returned to the Carroll Outreach Center by Aug. 2. Order forms are included below. Supplies are limited and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Those wishing to donate school supplies to help assist this program and help serve more families can do so by contacting New Opportunities at 712-792-9266.
