Iowa Fuel Report: July 10, 2024

According to this week’s fuel price report from AAA-Iowa, Iowans saw some relief at the pump following the Independence Day holiday weekend.  As of Wednesday, July 10, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the state was $3.28, down four cents on the week and two cents below prices from a year ago. The national average rose three cents to $3.54 per gallon, even with last year. As for retail diesel, the average price in Iowa dropped one cent on the week to $3.58, compared to $3.59 per gallon this time last year. Iowa diesel prices remain 29 cents below the national average. Wholesale ethanol was unchanged from $2.16. As for heating fuels, natural gas at the Henry Hub reporting site dropped one cent to $2.42 per MMBtu.
