Ron Eischeid, 65 of Carroll, died Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from injuries received in an automobile accident north of Carroll.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church -St. John Paul II in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Patrick Behm.  Music will be by Kathy Halbur.  Mass Servers will be Zach and Skyler Nepper.  Lector will be Brandon Nepper. Gift Bearers will be Tayler Rasch and Stacy Ambrose. Casket Bearers will be Tim Ludwig, Brett Ludwig, Scott Eischeid, Brody Eischeid, JR Halbur and Brandon Thompson. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m.   Additional visitation will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.

Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for Ron’s family at www.sharpfuneral.com.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home or the church for a later designation.

Ron, the son of Marvin and Elsie (Brincks) Eischeid, was born on November 19, 1958, in Carroll, Iowa. He grew up on a farm with his 5 brothers and sisters near Roselle and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1977. On July 24th, 1981, he was united in marriage to Sharon Hoffmann at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willey. They made their home in Carroll and raised their 4 children.

Ron worked for Rueter’s Equipment in Carroll, Iowa for almost 35 years until his death. He loved camping, fishing and working on his dad Marvin’s original 1952 Farmall M Tractor. He also loved spending time with his family and loved being Papa to his 5 grandkids.

Ron is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sharon; his sons Jason (Christy) Eischeid and their son Caleb of Ames, IA, and Corey (Amanda) Eischeid and children Rylee and Aiden of Carroll, IA, daughters Jenn (Trent) Ewalt and children Adalynn and Wesson of Ankeny, IA, and Jess (Byron) Finley of Lytton, IA. His siblings include: Phyllis (Don) Reineke of Kansas City, MO, Loren (Donna) Eischeid of Bedford, IA, Jeff (Lisa) Eischeid of Manson, IA, and Lisa (Jeff) Halbur of Manning, IA; his mother-in-law, Kate Miller of Dedham; his sisters-in-law: Wanda Neuman of Omaha, NE and Mary Thompson of Ankeny, IA; his brothers-in-law Don Hoffmann of Carroll, IA and Dale (Erin) Hoffmann of Altoona, IA and many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Elsie Eischeid; his sister Doreen Ludwig, brother-in-law Mel Ludwig, father-in-law Elmer Hoffmann, and step father-in-law Don Miller and his niece, Anna Eischeid.
