The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will hold two public hearings during Monday’s meeting. The supervisors will commence the meeting at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisor’s meeting room at the Carroll County Courthouse with the first public hearing for the 2024 Carroll County Comprehensive Plan. This document was last updated in 2009 and will serve as a roadmap for officials when establishing proposed zoning changes, housing, transportation, and infrastructure. After closing the public hearing, the board will consider adopting the plan. The following action items on the agenda include approving plat(s) and licenses. At 9:30 a.m., the second public hearing opens for the Carroll County gift by Quit Clain Deed to the City of Halbur. Carroll County, which owns a portion of the trail by the town, is gifting the portion of land, along with the trail, to become in possession of the City of Halbur. Following the closing of the public hearing, the Board of Supervisors will hear manure management annual updates and conclude with committee reports. The Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting will be at 9:00 a.m. in the meeting room in the Carroll County Courthouse, and the public is welcome to attend.
