Fair week begins tomorrow (Tuesday) in Audubon County, as crowds will gather at the grounds for the 2024 event. Fair Board President Greg Jensen says the fair is the culmination of months of work for exhibitors and a great opportunity for the county’s youth to show off their show ring, knitting, woodworking, and a variety of other skills.

In addition to the many animal shows and exhibits, Jensen says the Audubon County Fair also offers a range of entertainment options throughout the week.

The Polka Police will play live music Thursday at the fairgrounds at 7 p.m. in place of the regularly planned Audubon Music in the Park. The Audubon County Fair will host the Wright Rodeo Company on Saturday night, which gets underway at 5:30 p.m. That will be followed by a free dance and live music featuring 2 ½ Guitars. Jensen says another highlight of the fair every year is the figure eight races on Friday night. Jensen offers a big “thank you” to all of the fair’s supporters, be it sponsors, vendors, or attendees, as the Audubon County Fair wouldn’t be possible without them.
