Eminem releases ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’ ft. Dr. Dre, JID and more

Eminem returns with the release of his 12th studio album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce),’  the follow-up to 2020’s “Music To Be Murdered By.”

Before the album officially dropped, the Detroit rapper publicly announced that ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) is a concept album, writing on social media; “Public service announcement: the “death of slim shady” is a conceptual album, therefore, if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy.”

The 19-track project features the previously released “Tobey” featuring Big Sean & BabyTron, and the hit single “Houdini” which debuted at number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in its first week. The album also includes a sequel to the 1999 song “Guilty Conscience 2,” with other song titles including “Renaissance”, “Brand New Dance”, “Lucifer”, “Antichrist”, “Road Rage”, “Head Honcho”, “Somebody Save Me” and more.

Last week, Eminem dropped the official music video for “Tobey” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron, directed by Lyrical Lemonade director Cole Bennett.  The album also features production by Luis Resto, Dem Jointz, FredWreck, Dr. Dre, Don Cannon, Denaun, Benny Blanco and more, with guest appearances on the project from JID, Dr. Dre, Skylar Grey, White Gold, Sly Pyper, JID, Ez Mil, Jelly Roll, Bizarre and more. 2 Chainz also make an appearance on the deluxe track “Kyrie & Luka”.
