Carroll County Conservation Hosting First Pella Summer Concert Series This Weekend

Rain or shine this weekend, Carroll County Conservation is excited to host the first concert of the 2nd annual Pella Summer Concert Series tomorrow (Saturday) evening. Naturalist Dakota Popp says the country-rock singer scheduled has performed all over the Midwest and is excited to bring his talents back to Carroll.

Everyone is welcome to attend the free entertainment and bring their own food, drinks, and seating, such as a lawn chair or a blanket. Popp says there is an activity planned for the kids in attendance.

Popp wants to thank the sponsors, Pella and Phil McCrevis Spray Foam, for making this event possible. During the concert, Carroll County Conservation staff will be making rounds and asking for donations.

Popp says the music will still be played even with the chance of some rain showers on Saturday. If the concert cannot be held outside, it will be moved to the Swan Lake Conservation Education Center. Signs will be posted prior to the event at Swan Lake State Park and will also be announced on Carroll County Conservation’s Facebook page. The second concert of the Pella Summer Concert Series will be on Aug. 17; more on that will be provided in a future newscast.
