The Sac County Sheriff’s Office released information today (Friday) regarding the discovery of a deceased female in a vehicle by a river. At approximately 10:18 a.m. this morning (Friday), authorities were dispatched to a location by the North Racoon River by Hagge Park with an overturned 2003 Jeep Cherokee. The deceased female inside was identified as 30-year-old Samantha Faylee Trimpe of Breda. During an initial investigation, the Sac County Sheriff’s office indicated no sudden braking or a change of direction before the vehicle entered the river, based upon the direction of travel. Trimpe has been sent to the Office of the State Medical Examiner for an autopsy. At this time, there is no indication of any foul play in the incident. The Sac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Sac City Police Department, Sac City Fire Department, Sac County EMS, and the Sac County Medical Examiner Investigator.
