It’s fair week in Sac City with the 2024 Sac County Fair kicking off tomorrow (Tuesday). Fair Manager Amanda Weber says it is one of the best weeks of the summer for her, as it provides an opportunity for the county’s youth to come together and showcase the months of work they’ve put into their exhibits, from the animal shows to static displays in the various buildings throughout the fairgrounds.
While the fair’s primary purpose might be the exhibits, Weber says it is also a week full of fun activities and entertainment.
Weber adds each night has a main show, with the Barnes PRCA Rodeo on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., the Outlaw Tractor Pull on Thursday at 7 p.m., the Figure 8 races on Friday at 7 p.m., and live music from Terri Clark and Cory Waller and the Wicked Things on Saturday at 8 p.m. Weber says they’ll wrap up the fair on Saturday night with fireworks after the concert.
She says that is just a taste of all the activities going on this week at the Sac County Fair, which runs from Tuesday, July 23, through Saturday, July 27. Weber says much of the credit goes to the fair’s many volunteers.
