Progress is being made on the Lake View Community Center building, with the hope of having the structure enclosed within the next month. The groundbreaking ceremony was held back in April after the Lake View Community Center Committee fundraised, raising over two million dollars for the project. City Administrator Theresa Pudenz says Sande Construction has been on schedule, finishing the concrete foundation and moving into the next phase.
With the anticipation of a new building to host many different events, including weddings, graduations, concerts, and more, many individuals were asking about reservations for the 2025 calendar year. Pudenz says those interested in securing a date for the reservation list can contact city hall.
The city council is looking for five individuals who live in the Lake View Municipal service area or have pertinent experiences that will aid in the successful operations of the community center to serve on the board. Pudenz says five individuals have applied and the council will decide after an interview if more applications need to be accepted.
Anyone interested in securing a spot on the reservation list for the 2025 year or a resident of Lake View who is considering serving on the Lake View Community Center Board can reach out to Pudenz using the contact points included below.
