In this week’s fuel report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and AAA-Iowa, Iowans saw minimal price changes at the pump. As of Wednesday, July 24, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the state was $3.28, even with last week’s prices and nine cents below prices from a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was unchanged from $3.51 per gallon. In retail diesel, Iowa prices fell three cents to $3.52 per gallon, compared to $3.63 per gallon in July 2023. Local prices held 31 cents below the $3.83 national average. Wholesale ethanol held steady at $2.16, while natural gas prices at the Henry Hub reporting site climbed nine cents to $2.15 per MMBtu.
