Only Minor Injuries Reported After Semi Loaded With Hogs Rolls Over In Guthrie County

Only minor injuries were reported by a driver and his passenger after a semi-tractor trailer hauling hogs rolled over early yesterday (Wednesday) morning. According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 3:33 a.m. at the intersection of Frontier and White Pole Roads. Authorities say a 2001 Peterbilt loaded with hogs, operated by 31-year-old Christopher Ryan Boggan of York NW Salem, Penn., was traveling southbound on Frontier Road and failed to negotiate the curve as it connected with White Pole Road. Boggan ran the stop sign and attempted to complete the turn, but the semi and its trailer rolled onto the driver’s side into the ditch, losing some of its load. Boggan and a passenger in the semi’s sleeper, 10-year-old Zayden Halterman of York NW Salem, Penn., were treated at the scene but were not transported for treatment.
