An Operating Room (OR) nurse at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) is a recent recipient of the DAISY Award, recognizing her for the exceptional care she presents to patients. Kaylynn Larson, BSN, RN, was nominated by a patient who Larson served as a prep nurse for a recent surgery. The nomination stated, “I couldn’t have asked for a better nurse. She was professional at all times, had a great sense of humor, and her kindness and knowledge of the procedure put me at ease. My time at Stewart Memorial went quickly, and my recovery has gone well. Kaylynn’s ability to reduce my anxiety was, I’m confident, a large part of that success” Hospital staff state that this is not the first time hearing positive comments from patients talking about Larson’s care. SMCH is proud to continue to display exceptional care with nurses like Larson and is glad to have her on the nursing staff team.
