The Audubon Community School District has unveiled a new logo for its students, staff, and extracurricular activities that updates its classic “Wheelers” theme. The original logo dates back to 1937 when Dwight Hoover, who coached football, basketball, and baseball, came to town and realized these teams needed a nickname. The school held a vote with students at the time and landed on the Wheelers. The meaning behind the logo is clear. The hub represents the school, the rim stands for unity of school and community, and the rolling wheel symbolizes progress. District signage, apparel, and other materials will be updated with the new logos in the months
