The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education approved the new resolution for a transportation facility and reviewed district goals during tonight’s (Monday) meeting. A public hearing establishing a new resolution to enter into a bond agreement not to exceed six million dollars, which will be used to fund a new maintenance shed without the cold storage, was approved without contest from the community. Following the public hearing, board members and administrative staff discussed district goal setting, following up from the Iowa Association of School Board (IASB) session in June, ensuring they aligned with the district strategic plan. Finishing out the meeting was a discussion on the cell phone policy, debating on implementing a new policy or resuming with the current regulations and the updated Little Tiger wrap-around program, serving as an alternative to an after-school daycare opportunity for preschool students. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more on these topics in upcoming newscasts.
