Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) held a groundbreaking ceremony last Friday for expanding and remodeling the medical clinic and rehab service spaces. Around 40 staff and community members gathered for the commencing of the 14,000-square-foot addition to the west side of the medical clinic to provide new office spaces for patient registration for more confidentiality of patient’s personal information. The rehabilitation center will have a 20,000-sf remodel to provide all rehab services in one centralized location. Invision Architects has led the project’s design, with Graham Construction as the Construction Manager at Risk for the $25 million project. CCMH has been awarded a $22 million USDA loan to cover most of the total cost. The first steps in the construction process are to set up fencing to enclose the work zone for safety and install a new sewer line stretching across the parking lot to the main sewer line before the layout of the addition begins. The project will be completed in several phases to avoid minimal disruptions of services to the community. Any changes to the location of services, parking, or patient registration will be communicated as progress continues. By completing the addition and remodel, CCMH will continue to promote its mission to provide convenient access to safe, high-quality, patient-centered healthcare by skilled and trusted professionals while exceeding customer expectations. Updates on the project can be viewed on the CCMH website, with the link included below.
