The Nick Nurse Foundation Charity Golf Tournament Found Its New Home At Carroll National

76ers players: Jared McCain and Adem Bona working on some putting skills

The first annual Nick Nurse Foundation Charity Golf Tournament kicked off last Thursday and Friday, featuring stars of the Philadelphia 76ers, coaches, and former basketball players. Nick Nurse, Coach of the 76ers and owner of Carroll National, says it is just the best feeling to be bringing his Nick Nurse Foundation Fundraising Golf Tournament to his hometown.

The Nick Nurse Foundation funds many different programs for youth to participate in sports and music and provides educational opportunities. Nurse says he started the foundation to allow everyone to get the chance to explore his passions of reading, sports, and music.

76ers rookie Justin Edwards says this is his first time out to Iowa, and to meet all of Nurse’s supporters from his coach’s hometown and enjoy a golf game is an opportunity he is thankful to be a part of.

Nurse says the community’s support is substantial and he cannot wait to see what the total may bring.

Nurse wants to thank all the sponsors who have helped make this fundraiser possible and looks forward to hosting it again at Carroll National next year.
