The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will begin the process of amending county ordinances to increase wastewater rates for Maple River customers at Monday’s meeting. The board convenes at 9 a.m. on Aug. 19 at the Carroll County Courthouse. County officials will set the public hearing to amend Ordinance #33, raising the rate from $55 per month to $75. The supervisors are making the change to address financial sustainability issues with the rural wastewater system. Other items on Monday’s agenda include a community update from the Main Street Coon Rapids team, an appointment to the Region XII Housing Authority Board of Directors, and manure management annual updates.
