The second annual Road Trip in Memory of Harley McDonald will be this weekend to raise funding for the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital Burn Treatment Center. All vehicles are welcome to participate, with the ride starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Scranton Community Center. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., and the cost is $20 per person. Aside from the ride, a cornhole tournament, dinner, raffle, and auction will take place throughout the day. Finishing out the night will be live music entertainment from Dirt Road Divide. Proceeds from the event will be donated to assist in providing continuing education and equipment for the Burn Treatment Center and the Pediatric ICU, where Harley was cared for after receiving third-degree burns over 90% of his body from a cabin fire on New Year’s Eve of 2021.
