Helen Ann Irlbeck, 93 of Templeton, died Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Regency Park Nursing Home in Carroll surrounded by her family.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, August 26, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton. The Celebrant will be Fr. Terry Roder. Music will be by Hannah Kerkhoff and the Templeton Men’s Choir. Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Nancy Irlbeck Musick. Gift Bearers will be Emily Marshal and Nicole Meiners. Eucharistic Minister will be Marian Irlbeck. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Nicole Meiners, Amanda Gray, Samantha Duane, Emily Marshal, Jason Wiltse, Jesi Larson, Alex Irlbeck, Hannah Irlbeck, Lauren Irlbeck, Jesse Janssen, Brooke Wiebers, Stephanie Hein, Chase Musick, Lindy Thomas, Christina Haggerty, and Amanda Gaskin. Casket Bearers will be Matthew Wiltse, Jake Behrens, Ethan Irlbeck, Dalton Hawbaker, Bret Wiltse, and Andrew Irlbeck. The Carroll Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Dedham American Legion Auxiliary will form an Honor Guard for the Funeral Mass. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton.
A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton. Additional visitation will be from 9-9:45 a.m. on Monday at the Sacred Heart Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left at the church for a later designation.

Born on July 3, 1931, Helen Ann was the daughter of Ben and Elizabeth (Fehring) Schwabe. She attended country school and later graduated in 1948 from St. Bernard’s High School in Breda. Following her schooling Helen helped area families after the birth of their newborn babies.
On August 3, 1954 Helen was united in marriage to Bernard “Sonny” Irlbeck at St. Bernard’s Church in Breda with her uncle and godfather, Fr. Matthew B. Fehring officiating. The couple made their home in Templeton, Westside, Vail and Deloit before returning to Templeton in 1969 to farm. Helen enjoyed helping with the farm operation and sold Stanley Home Products for 42 years. In 1995, Helen and Sonny moved from the acreage into Templeton.
Helen enjoyed cards, trips to the casino, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up in the world. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Parish, Parish Ladies Guild, Dedham American Legion Auxiliary and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Helen is survived by her children: Nancy Irlbeck Musick (Steve) of Moscow, Idaho, Mary (John) Grundmeier of Carroll, Robert (Pam) Irlbeck of Templeton, Lois (John) Behrens of Roselle, Kathy (Donn) Mosman of Raymore, Missouri, Duane (Angela) Irlbeck of Templeton, and Glen (Anne) Irlbeck of Templeton; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; her brother, Roger Schwabe; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, LeRoy (Elaine) Irlbeck, Tom (Dawn) Irlbeck, Fred (Karen) Irlbeck, Eugene (Mary Jo) Irlbeck, Marian Irlbeck and Patricia Irlbeck; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and many friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Elizabeth Schwabe; her parents-in-law, Alphonse and Margaret Irlbeck; her husband, Bernard “Sonny” Irlbeck; her daughter, Betty Irlbeck; her grandson, Johnny Behrens; her sister, Marie Schumacher; her brother, Paul Schwabe and a brother in infancy; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-laws: Kay Schwabe, Mary Ann (Frank “Boots”) Irlmeier, James Irlbeck, John (Barb) Irlbeck, Raymond Irlbeck, and Jerome Irlbeck.
