A Jefferson Man Pled Guilty To All Charges Stemming From High Speed Chase On Hwy 141 In June

A Jefferson man has pled guilty to all charges after eluding law enforcement on Highway 141 earlier this summer. On June 12, 25-year-old Kyle Rysavy was clocked by a Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputy traveling at a high rate of speed, heading west on Highway 141 near Dedham. Rysavy continued west towards Manning despite multiple attempts from law enforcement to initiate a traffic stop. The pursuit ended in Crawford County by Aspinwall when Rysavy tried to push the Carroll County Sherriff patrol car into the ditch. Rysavy was taken into custody on charges of Eluding, a class D felony, and Driving While Barred, an aggravated misdemeanor. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 26 at the Carroll County Courthouse. Rysavy faces a maximum sentence of up to seven years in prison and $18,785 in fines.
